Top 10 Best Apple TV Plus Shows To Watch

apple tv plus shows

Hey guys!. In this post, I’ll be discussing a list of Top 10 Best Apple TV Plus Shows To Watch. Apple TV Plus is a major Netflix competitor, and the service is doing an excellent job of competing. Although Apple TV Plus does not have quite as many shows as its competitors but it does have a plethora of star power and content. So let’s get started.

1. Defending Jacob.

In a miniseries about a family defending their son who is convicted for murdering his classmate, Chris Evans swaps spandex for the courthouse. Given the subject matter, it's a harrowing watch at times, but it's nice to see Evans move away from the large budgets to try something a bit more subtle. The series display is based on William Landay's best-selling novel by the same name.

2. Dickinson.

The widely awaited Dickinson trailer ahead of Apple TV plus launch, and they were right - this is a laugh-a-minute. The comedy series that follows, starring Hailee Steinfeld as the defiant poet Emily Dickinson, is a mash-up between contemporary modern-day comedy and formal traditional dress.

3. For All Mankind.

Imagining what could have happened if Russia had beaten the United States to the moon, For All Mankind starts in the 1960s, after an out-of-this-world stumbling obstacle. The series starts as technology advances and decades pass, with plenty of suspense and excitement drama mixed in for good measure.

4. Home Before Dark.

This is an old-school family television you long for. The premise is fantastic: a nine-year-old aspiring journalist returns to the town where her father grew up with her family. There, she starts to discover secrets concerning a long-lost cold case. The episodes maybe a little shorter, but this is a wonderful story about a girl who is much more advanced than her years would suggest, and what happens as she starts to seek the facts and the truth.

5. Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet Mythic.

Quest is an enjoyable show that aspires to be like Silicon Valley by following a video game developer as they release, and try to keep, their game Mythic Quest at the top. It was founded by Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney, who have created the amazing It's Just Sunny In Philadelphia is a fine watch, even though it doesn't reach those heights.

6. See.

An Apple-exclusive TV series starring Jason Momoa and Oscar nominee Alfre Woodard, coincided with the debut of the Apple TV Plus launch. The show follows a new generation who was miraculously born with blind eyes sight, depicting a civilization hundreds of years in the future that has lost the ability to see. It's a gritty undertaking by Apple, one that isn't entirely good, but at least you know there will be more because a second season has been in production.

7. Servant.

This series, created by Tony Basgallop, is about a Philadelphia couple in mourning after the death of their child. It's a bit of a dark one, to say the least, with a shadowy mysterious entity getting involved - we're not revealing anything more because we don't want to give away anything.

8. Ted Lasso.

This is one of the most charming TV shows we've seen in a really long time. If you're in the UK, you might find it funny looking at a US-American football coach who comes over to train a ragtag team of footballers. Lasso is an optimist, and you can't help but be drawn in by the way he sees the world.

9. The Morning Show.

This drama takes place behind the scenes of, you guessed it, a morning television news program. As the journalistic suspense unfolds, Jennifer Aniston, in her first series since Friends, is joined by Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell. If this series had been on Netflix, it would have received a lot of praise for the themes of workplace sexual harassment and all that comes with it.

10. Truth Be Told.

The story follows a true-crime podcaster who sets out to solve unexplained cold mysterious murder cases, and has a strikingly close plotline to the hit podcast Serial. This dramatic adaptation of Kathleen Barber's novel Are You Sleeping: A Novel is a must-see for lovers of true crime podcasts and television shows.
