Hey guys!. In this post, I’ll be discussing a list of Top 10 Times Kpop Idols SHINING On American TV. We can all agree that becoming an international artist isn’t something that can be achieved overnight (well, not in most cases). Idols put all their passion and talent, and then it’s up to their companies to promote them in the right way to become known beyond their borders. Over the years, and thanks to the Hallyu wave, K-Pop has been gaining a lot of recognition worldwide, especially in the United States. Here are the K-pop artists who have made their debut on American television. Now let's get started!

10. BTOB 

BTOB made a cameo appearance in 2016 on America's Next Top Model Seoul Edition where they taught dance moves to the contest participants. They also participated as judges of the models' dancing during the shoot. 

9. Monsta X 

In 2018, Monsta X was invited to "Good Day New York" for the first time when they were in North America for their world tour "The Connect", and they performed their song "Jealousy". A couple of years later, in 2020, they visited the show again to talk about their experience during the pandemic. 

8. NCT 127 

NCT 127 made their American TV debut back in 2017, when they performed with their songs "Regular" and "Cherry Bomb" on the October 8 episode of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". For the presentation of '' Regular '', they chose its English version. 

7. Super M 

The band appeared on the talk show "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on NBC, this being their debut on American television. SuperM performed with the title track of their mini album ''Jopping'', and they even taught Ellen how to dance to it. 

6. PSY 

Not a group but the soloist Psy went viral around the world back in 2012 with Gangnam Style. The international hit led Psy to present a historical performance at the 'American Music Awards' the same year the song was released. 

5. Wonder Girls 

In 2009, Wonder Girls performed ''Nobody'' for their American live television debut on The Wendy Williams Show, a FOX morning talk show. They also performed on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance contest show. ''Nobody'' became the best-selling physical single of the year in the United States at the time. 

4. 2ne1 

In January 2014, 2ne1 appeared on the ABC reality show "The Bachelor". The cast of the show visited YG Entertainment's facilities in South Korea, where 2ne1 welcomed them and taught them to dance to "I Am The Best". 2NE1 also invited the cast of “The Bachelor” to perform with them their song “I Am the Best” during their mini concert at Times Square in Seoul. 

3. Girls Generation 

Girls' Generation made their big debut in U.S. television when they performed ''The Boys'' on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 2012. Not letting a day go to waste while in America, the girls also performed on "Live! With Kelly" the next day. GG was one of the first K-pop groups to make it onto American television. 

2. BlackPink 

The girls made their debut on American television the past January 2019, performing their hit 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, just before they presented the song in Times Square, performing it for Good Morning America. After that, BlackPink never stopped making cameo appearances on many American shows, just as James Corden Show, Zach Sang, The Billboards, among others. 

1. BTS 

The Bangtan Boys made their first American televised appearance at the Billboard Music Awards in 2017, where they became the first K-pop group to win an award. Since then, they have appeared in a lot of American TV shows, such as The Late Late Show with James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, KTLA, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and many other variety shows and interviews.
