The film follows Nina and Madeleine, two retired women who have kept their deep and passionate love affair from one another hidden for decades. Their relationship as neighbors is put to the test as they move between their apartments, experiencing the intimate joys. Until Madeleine's daughter, Anne finds the truth about them, which turns their relationship upside down.

This Netflix double romance is a must-see. The film hops between 60s and modern-day London. Ellie Haworth, a reporter, is in charge of writing an obituary for her paper's editor. 

After discovering a few old love letters from Jennifer, who was in a love triangle with her husband Laurence and lover Anthony, Ellie and the paper's archivist Rory grew closer. Both were able to locate the senders, and persuaded them to write one more letter to each other.
